Soft Sleepy Newborns
The Soft Sleepy Newborns were a weird thing Hasbro did in 1987,
where they took a newborn pony concept and blew it up so that it
was a literal "Honey I Blew Up The Pony" giant in Dream Valley.
Despite their name, they were not very soft (made instead of hard
plastic). They did, however, have a Beddy Bye Eye-esque opening
and closing eye function, and an open mouth to accommodate a
(massive) baby dummy. They were sold in box with a bonnet and
matching panties, as well as a giant brush. They seem to have been
some weird kind of baby-doll-that-is-a-horse for little girls to
take care of.
There were three in the set - Hushabye (white with purple hair,
teddy symbol), Pink Dreams (pink with aqua hair, pullduck symbol)
and Sweet Dreams (pink all over, bottle symbol.)
They were not sold in the UK, and are relatively hard to find
second hand. They are also...very hard to store.
Hushabye, with newborn for size comparison.
