The original version of Moondancer came with a shooting star brush, matching ribbon and puffy sticker. She was sold again in 1985, but did not get curly hair like Firefly or Medley. In her second release she came with a purple moon and stars comb and a light blue ribbon, as well as a puffy sticker.

Moondancer in the United Kingdom

Moondancer was not sold in the United Kingdom, although she featured heavily in early pony comics and merchandise over here. A plush version of Glory was made available in the UK, despite the lack of their plastic equivalents.

Moondancer in Other Places

A yellow version of Moondancer was sold in Scandinavia and South Africa, in around 1986. This version, sometimes known as "Fable" Moondancer, or "Yellow Moondancer" was never sold in the UK.

Moondancer's Character

Moondancer had a particularly mischievous streak in her American backcard story, where she put a spell on Cotton Candy to stop her from eating Blossom's flowers. In the UK comic, she had a cheery and mischievous personality, and on one occasion, did also cast a spell on Cotton Candy, suggesting that the comic writers were privy to her American backcard story.

She liked to explore and had the ability to light the way with her horn - perhaps like the moon.

The UK Fact File also mentions her mischievous personality, stating that she liked to jump out from hiding places and startle the other ponies.
