Amazingly, despite her lack of release, there have long since
still been rumours of a regular Paradise existing in the UK
release. Probably on account of the bulk of promotional material
depicting her, she still appears occasionally on ID sites as an
actual release pony.
In reality, the pony never actually reached the point of
release. She was scrapped before Paradise Estate hit the UK
shelves, and was never returned to at a later date.
This means that all Paradises made in Hong Kong, whether
they have flocking or not, began life as a So Soft Paradise.
If you are buying a Paradise, and someone claims it's a regular
UK release...be warned. It isn't. No such thing exists -
whatever other ID sites or sources may tell you.
There is, however, one regular version of Paradise. She was
made in Brazil, under licence by a company called Estrela. Her
hooves have the Hasbro stamp, but also have a square block on
the back hoof with the name of the Estrela company and place of
manufacture. Her front hooves also have some numbers indented
into the base, but I don't know what they mean.

This version of Paradise is quite hard to find second-hand, as
she was only sold in Brazil - but she is authentic. Please do
ask your seller for pictures of Paradise's feet to confirm she
is the Estrela version before buying.

Paradise appeared regularly in the animated series, and was particularly prominent in the Revolt of Paradise Estate, where her interest in storytelling and her lack of interest in house repairs really caught my attention as a child! She was a sweet natured pony, with a vivid imagination, and although she never had a proper UK release, she inspired me enough as an eight year old to include her in my very silly childhood stories. Her backcard story in the US also connects her to Paradise Estate, as she and North Star went on a treasure hunt to find it. It seems as though Hasbro had ideas of connecting her to this set in both countries, but never did.
