Sternenglanz was introduced in the 1988 German Rainbow, or
Regenbogen-Ponys set. She is both her own pony, and a throwback
to earlier rainbow sets, because of her similarity to Starshine.
Because of her very limited release, she is quite difficult to
find outside of the countries where she was sold.
This set of Rainbow Ponies did not have uniform hair colours.
They were sold with shooting star brushes, combs and ribbons,
but their brushes did not have rainbow stickers, unlike with
earlier releases (although in Germany, Italian-made Rainbow
ponies also did not have stickers on their brushes, which may
explain this anomaly).

There exist different symbol size variations for Sternenglanz;
there are also variations relating to whether her symbol is
metallic gold or matte yellow. My pony has the gold symbol; the
one pictured Mint on Card appears to have a yellow symbol, but I
don't own her so I cannot be certain.
