Unlike her much earlier namesake, Bluebell did make appearances
in the UK comic, always sporting a mad curly hairdo. She was
perhaps not the smartest Flower Pony -or a little too trusting,
as sometimes she got herself into trouble. One story was
reminiscent of an earlier tale involving Firefly consuming
contrary cake and being led away by a pixie's music.

Bluebell also consumed the contrary cake and then became very stubborn and contrary in her behaviour, saying and doing the opposite of what made sense. Making this more complicated was the arrival of a Hurdygurdy Hogoblin whose music compelled anyone who heard it to dance endlessly. Fortunately, Bluebell's friend Snowdrop was a bit smarter, and sought Majesty's advice!
