Snowdrop


Snowdrop was one of the earth ponies from the Flower Pony set. She was sold in the UK and across Europe, and came with a flower comb but no ribbon. She was sold in 1991. There is something ironic about the fact she has less white on her (given her name) than Tulip does, but I guess maybe Hasbro wanted the symbol to stand out?

Snowdrop's character

Snowdrop appeared a few times in the pony comic, and in one story, when Bluebell made an idiot of herself, she showed not only her intelligence in figuring out a strategy, but also her genuine concern for her friend as she went to seek Majesty's help. She came over as a very sweet natured pony.

This sweet nature also appeared in her backcard story, where she helped a small cloud by turning frozen teardrops into pretty snowdrops so that they could guide the winter clouds to Winter Wonderland. This puts Snowdrop on the cusp of Winter and Spring, helping to see the end of one season and the start of another.
