Ice Crystal

Ice Crystal was sold in 1987, in the Mountain Boy pony set in the UK and a handful of other countries. He was sold on a very elaborately decorated card featuring the six ponies in the mountains (which is, logically, where they lived).

 He is very difficult to find Mint on Card, and there are only a handful known to have survived. His accessories were a pale aqua frog brush (paler than Tracks), a dark blue ribbon and puffy sticker. His hair is intentionally white. The below example survives from Sweden and is priced in Kroner (SEK) suggesting a retail price of around £5. This is in keeping with the average price of adult ponies in the UK around the same time.

Ice Crystal's Character

Ice Crystal was an easy-going, kind-hearted character, who often used his ice magic to entertain the baby ponies. He also had a mischievous streak, as he demonstrated when he played an ice slide prank on an impatient Fireball. He also had a starring role in defeating the Smooze in a weird My Little Pony & Friends story, after it returned to Ponyland and wrought havoc. It was no match for Ice Crystal, however, who calmly froze it solid, ending the siege.
