Princess Dawn

Princess Dawn was one of the earth ponies from the second set of Princess Ponies. She is perhaps the most low-key character in the set in terms of her colour scheme, which was a standard pink/purple. Why these colours relate to 'Dawn' is still a mystery.

Dawn was sold with a glittery star pick, wand, comb and ribbon. She was sold in North America and definitely available in Benelux countries, via a boxed version in English which was nonetheless produced for that market. The box is the same as the US release version but has different amount of horseshoe points on the back and is marked with import labels.

The boxed pony shown below is the American  release.

Princess Dawn's Character

Dawn's story definitely wins the award for most ridiculous of all the Princess Pony stories. It also paints her as a rather forceful character who, if something doesn't go her way the first time, will undoubtedly be made to go her way the second, even if extreme. Failing to wake her poor friends at the crack of dawn, Dawn decides to give them breakfast in bed - with magic, turning the drinks jug into a fountain, with plates floating in the resultant liquid. I cannot visualise this as anything but chaos. I hope she cleaned up afterwards.

It also gives the impression of the ponies sleeping in a dormitory of some kind. Either this or Dawn intentionally flooded the whole of their home.
