Princess Sunbeam

Princess Sunbeam was one of the earth ponies from the second set of Princess Ponies. Although I curled my pony's hair in the above photo, these are not factory curls :) She uses a modified version of an earlier pose.

Sunbeam was sold with a glittery star pick, wand, comb and ribbon. She was sold in North America and definitely available in Benelux countries, via a boxed version in English which was nonetheless produced for that market. The box is the same as the US release version but has different amount of horseshoe points on the back and is marked with import labels. She is one of several ponies to recycle an earlier pony name (something that happened in North America with increasing frequency from around 1988).

The boxed pony shown below is the American release.

Princess Sunbeam's Character

Princess Sunbeam was yet another of the ponies obsessed with preventing it raining in Ponyland. On a day when the princess ponies were holding an outdoor party, the dark clouds began to gather overhead. Sunbeam used her magic to push them away and make the skies nice and blue for the party.
