Princess Pristina

Princess Pristina was the pegasus pony from the second set of Princess Ponies. She has a very striking colour scheme, in dark teal and neon yellow, making her one of the most impactful members of her set. What Pristina means...not a clue. Maybe a play on pristine, but what that has to do with princesses is also a mystery!

Pristina was sold with a glittery star pick, wand, comb and ribbon. She was sold in North America and definitely available in Benelux countries, via a boxed version in English which was nonetheless produced for that market. The box is the same as the US release version but has different amount of horseshoe points on the back and is marked with import labels.

The boxed pony shown below is the American release.

Princess Pristina's Character

Princess Pristina's backcard story suggests that she was a kind hearted pony, especially where the baby ponies were concerned. Her story describes her creating a surprise for the Peekaboo baby ponies by magicking jewels into flowers for them to find. When the babies gave her a bouquet at the end, she kept her secret, not wanting to spoil their achievement for them. I think this is pretty sweet, even if putting jewels into flowers isn't the most useful skill in Ponyland.
