Surfing Days

Surfing Days was one of two earth pony characters in the Tropical Pony set. She was given a recycled name in North America - "Sea Breeze".
She was sold with a neon pink fish comb in the UK. This is stated explicitly on her card. She had no ribbon.

Surfing Days' Character

Surfing Days's character was tied more to her name than to her symbol (proof positive that the symbol had no identity value in Generation One). Her name was different in the UK and this surfing persona is probably unique to the UK and maybe Europe in translation. Her card story talked about her not being able to surf because of the still water, and indicates she had the ability to create a breeze to stir up the sea (which is interesting given her American name of Sea Breeze!).

She appeared on the cover of comic 148 in the title story "Trouble in the Tropics", where she and Hula Hula helped a gnome by taking him to Summer Heatwave's magical cave for gardening tips.
