Bright Night

The oddly named Bright Night was part of the Glittering Pony (or Glittering Sweetheart Sister Pony) set, released in North America in 1990 and the UK and Europe in 1991. The North American release had ponies on cards, but in the UK and in Europe, we continued with Sweetheart Sister Ponies in boxes, as per the previous year.

The Glittering Pony set all came with glittering star picks. Bright Night's appears to have been a dark purple colour. They also had floral earrings, just like the previous set, and used the same slender poses.


Bright Night's Character

Bright Night's character in the comic was confused a little by one main story which featured her name but Sunblossom's image. In this story, she helped Baby Starburst to get rid of an unpleasant dark section of the sky with her bright magic. She was also known for saying "Bright Night" instead of "Good Night".
