Galaxy in the United Kingdom.

Galaxy was sold in 1986 as part of the first set of Twinkle Eye ponies. She was not sold in the second set, so did not see a re-release. In spite of that, she is relatively easy to find second-hand. Her plastic is very prone to discolouration, and she can also sometimes have head/body mismatch. She was meant to have curly/wavy hair.

Galaxy is one of the ponies who has been found on a Baby Sea Pony card. She was also the Twinkle Eye pony available in Argos in 1986.

Her accessories were the same in the North American release, except for the type of sticker, which was round and puffy in the UK but flat and scented in North America.


Galaxy's Character

Galaxy played a part in the animated My Little Pony and Friends series. She was a reliable character and led the fightback against the ice in Baby It's Cold Outside, with the song "We're Not Gonna Freeze!". She also had the ability to make her horn glow for light or warmth. She also seemed to have premonitions.

These were not characteristics she had in the pony comic. She had more of a relationship with the stars, supported by both her UK story and her more detailed US backcard story, which detailed her adventuring into the sky at night to play with the stars.
