So Soft Angel

Angel was sold in the third and final full set of So Soft ponies in 1987. She was released in North America, and also in Italy, although she does not seem to have been sold anywhere else in Europe.

Angel was used extensively to promote the ponywear and accessory sets in 1987 and 1988. These images were duplicated onto UK inserts, where the sets were released with predominately US style packaging.

Angel's Character

Angel has no media releases in the UK, and the biggest clue to her character lies in her backcard story. She is depicted as a pony who likes to play in the sea. Here she met some angelfish, who, by use of a magic air bubble, took her down under the waves to play games with them.
