Valentine Twins

Information around this release has always been murky, and, in the case of this site, heavily second hand. These ponies were never offered in any form in the UK, and appear to have been released in North America through a stationery company offer in around 1990. The company, 'Current', offered them as separate releases, or they could be purchased together.

It goes without saying that these are very unalike twins - they even come from different base sets, as the purple twin has a tooth, while the white twin does not. No official names have ever been circulated for these two, although in the late 1990s, collector circles began calling the white pony 'Red Rainbow'. That name appears to have died out now, and it is, as far as I know, not official.

The hairclip shown in the photo above is not original to this pony.
