Satin & Lace, three times a bride

Satin & Lace was first issued through mail order in 1986. In this release, she was advertised as a bride, but there was no projected groom pony. Like Wedding Bells Confetti, who seems to have taken up her mantle in the UK and across Europe, she seemed destined to be doomed at the altar.
It was not until the third release of Satin & Lace that she was offered with a groom pony, known originally as Coat n Tails, than later as Tux n Tails.

Satin & Lace's original release did also include an offer for Baby Lucky, as her wedding page boy. Well, at least she wouldn't be completely alone on her big day.

Satin & Lace was never sold in stores and was never sold in the UK.

Which Satin is Which? Part III

Satin & Lace had three releases - so-soft, magenta and lavender. The third of these is probably the most common, and, for that reason, people often think of her as the original (even though she is absolutely not). Satin & Lace III combines themes from the earlier two sets - she has the pastel of the first release, but has no flocking, like the second release. Although she is more common, she is also often more difficult to find in good condition.

This new release of Satin & Lace also, for the first time, was promoted in conjunction with a 'Groom' pony, the erstwhile 'Coat 'n' Tails (also released under the name Tux 'n' Tails, by which he is probably better known). She seems to have been sold in both 1990 and 1991, and may also have been available in 1992, towards the end of the North American mail order release. This probably explains why she is more common than her sisters.
