Beachball
Beachball was the unicorn character in the Sunshine Pony set. She
was sold in the North American release in 1989 and comprised one
of the four characters sold in the UK and Europe in 1990. She was
sold with the same accessory in both places - a purple sun pick.
In the UK and Europe, she was sold on a yellow bordered card.
She had a white streak in her mane and tail which went magenta in
sunlight.

Beachball's Character
Beachball's most bizarre comic appearance was probably in one
of the My Little Pony & Friends comics, where Ponyland had a
Ghostbusters II moment and was attacked for the second time by
the Smooze. Beachball was one of Megan's intrepid resistance
fighters in this story, and was also weirdly pictured on the
front cover as having both horn AND wings (such an odd Smooze
side effect!) Her magic trick was, unsurprisingly, related to
beachballs.
