Spring Song


  Spring Song was one of four Sweetheart Sister characters introduced into the UK line in 1990. She had also been part of the North American set the previous year. She came with a flower brush, mesh ribbon and earring which all matched each other and the colour of her eyeshadow. She was sold in a pink box with darker pink borders. Her box was translated for various countries across Europe. If someone has Spring Song mint in her European box and can lend me an image, I would be grateful!

Spring Song was my sister's childhood Sweetheart Sister Pony, and she definitely came with a matching yellow mesh ribbon. Most all Mint in Package examples also have this yellow ribbon, but in North America, there is a variation where some Spring Songs have Fancy Flower's coral-orange ribbon instead of the yellow. There may well be other mismatches in the set from the carded US release - I have never seen a mismatched one for the UK/European release.

Spring Song's comic appearances were not that plentiful, but she was associated with flowers and floral things - unsurprisingly! She was capable of making it rain petals if she blinked. Yes, another weird weather pony. It's an epidemic...
