Squirmy


Squirmy was one of four earth babies in the newborn pony set. She used an earlier pose that had been introduced with the Newborn Twins, and she was sold with a duck comb and a small newborn bottle. She was sold in the UK on a blue card with blue borders. She is one of the rarer ponies from this set.



Squirmy's Character

Squirmy's backcard story talked about her finding a new little snail friend, and the comic took that idea and ran with it. In the comic, this snail was called 'Solomon', and he and Squirmy did a lot of things together.

In one story, Wiggles ran off with Solomon after Squirmy put him on a pull-duck, so Squirmy took Wiggles's friend Mr Caterpillar out for a walk instead. Mr Caterpillar was quite different from Solomon, however. He ate all the flowers and when Squirmy tried to use a growing spell to make them grow again, the spell accidentally got on Mr Caterpillar, making him huge.
