Unlike her companions, who mostly had abilities relating to music and performance, Twirler had a very special and quite useful skill. She could turn records into giant flying discs, on which she could travel great distances. In one epic multi-part story, she, along with the help of Thundercloud and more specifically, the Wise Magician from Misty Mountain, followed a mysterious 'whispering whirligig' through various perils before finally finding it and helping to unlock it (releasing the Merry-go-Round ponies, who were trapped inside).
