Caramel Crunch


Caramel Crunch was one of four new earth pony characters introduced in the Candy Cane set. She was sold in the UK via both the official release and via the Woolworths import, meaning that she was sold in both bordered and yellow boxes in the UK. The accessories were the same between releases - a sweetie comb, hairclip and ribbon.

Caramel Crunch was popcorn themed, although I cannot say that she smells very popcorny to me. She was sold with her hair twisted tight into ringlets. The pony pictured above has original factory curl.


Caramel Crunch's Character

Caramel Crunch appeared in the My Little Pony comics. Her main theme was centred around popcorn, and other candy treats, but she also had a casual responsibility for the Baby Ponies and the nursery. Unlike earlier formalised 'Nurse Pony' characters, Caramel Crunch is never given this title. But she still had some connection to them all the same.

Making it rain popcorn was also a favourite party trick of hers.
