Red Roses was the unicorn from the Perfume Puff Pony set, which was released in both North America and in the UK in 1989. In the UK, the release coincided with the sale of the Perfume Puff Palace.

Red Roses was sold here in a US-style box, with the same accessories as those available in North America - a comb, flower hair clip and ribbon.  Like all the Perfume Puff ponies, she had a very fluffy mane and tail, which was soft and scented, like her body. Red Roses' hair is fading pink, and so can sometimes be found in white on the second hand market. She is one of the more sought after Perfume Puff Ponies - though whether she is more difficult to find is hard to discern (she was the first one I ever found second hand!). Part of her popularity seems to be her colouring - she is one of only a handful of yellow adult unicorns.

My pony, shown above, is not wearing her original clip. She is wearing her original hair, however - just to prove that yes, Perfume Puff hair can be neat and tidy ;)
