So Soft Bouncy

Bouncy was sold as part of the additional character range tacked on to the original release of So Soft Ponies. We can say she is part of set 2, or Set 1.5, as she was released alongside existing So Soft characters from the first set. She was never sold in the UK in any form, although her baby was sold as part of the First Tooth set here in 1987.

 She was not reissued in the final 1987 So Soft set. Her hair is intentionally curly.


Bouncy's Character

Bouncy's story starts deceptively normally, but then it turns into a game of ball catch with the rainbow, and Bouncy blinking and turning rainbow dust into many, many beachballs for her friends to play with.

The fact the So Soft Ponies did not entirely decimate Dream Valley with their wondrous and very specific rainbow-creative eyeblinking, ear wiggling and nose twitching is, frankly, a miracle.
